Plot: The story arc will involve Jack Bauer contending with assassination threats made during a peace conference between President of the United States Allison Taylor and President Omar Hassan of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan.

The series will relocate to New York and see the re-activation of CTU’s New York Office, but while there originally were no plans for filming in New York due to budget constraints,[5] some scenes were shot on-location.

The plotline began and will end at 4:00 P.M.

It has been revealed that Gregory Itzin will reprise his role as former President Charles Logan near the end of the season.

The eighth and final season of Monk is set to premiere on August 7, 2009 at 9/8c. It will contain the standard 16 episodes. The final episode will air on December 4, 2009. Tony Shalhoub, who portrays Adrian Monk, has stated that Monk will solve the Trudy murder in the final episodes, in addition to wrapping up each character’s personal stories.
